ABOUT MEAuthor, Speaker and InnovatorDr. Mazin Yousif has over 25 years of experience in R&D and technology transfer. In the last 10 years or so, he focused on Digital Transformation with extensive focus on cloud and IoT. He has led many MultiCloud Applications Migration and has developed many IoT solutions.
Dr. Yousif spent time at T-Systems International, IBM, and Intel. He is currently at DXC Technology as CTO for Oil & Gas. At Intel, he was also a principal leader defining the InfiniBand Architecture and co-chaired the management working group in the InfiniBand Trade Association. Dr. Yousif chaired the Advisory Board of the European Research Consortium for Informatics and Mathematics (ERCIM). He also served as the Editor-In-Chief of the IEEE Cloud Computing Magazine. He founded the NSF Industry/University Cooperative research Center for Autonomic Computing. He was an adjunct professor in several universities including Duke, NCSU, OGI and Arizona. Dr. Yousif served as a Technology Advisor and Board Member for Simudyne Corporation. He was also a Board Member for Stafford & Associates. He has served as the General Chair or Program Chair for many conferences and served in the editorial board of many journals. He is a frequent speaker in academic and industry conferences on topics related to cloud computing, big data and autonomic computing. He has also published extensively (85+ articles) and was an IEEE Distinguished Visitors Program speaker from 2008 – 2013. Dr. Yousif finished his Master (Electrical Engineering) and Ph.D. (Computer Engineering) degrees from the Pennsylvania State University in 1987 and 1992, respectively. |
